Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the two-match Test series against New Zealand. Pacer Hasan Mahmud and spinner Hasan Murad have been called up in the announced squad for the first time.

The red ball squad for the New Zealand series has been announced on Saturday (November 18) evening. Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the team in the absence of Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das. Besides, Taskin Ahmed and Tamim Iqbal are not in the squad.

However, regular performers like Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mominul Haque are in the team. Besides, Shadman Islam, Nurul Hasan Sohan, and Nayeem Hasan have returned to the team. Although Hasan Mahmud has played for the country in two limited-over formats, Hasan Murad has been called up to the national team for the first time.

Pacer Ebadot Hossain is still unavailable because of the injury problem. Besides, pacer Musfik Hasan, who was called up to the only Test team against Afghanistan, lost his place in the team.
