Taskin recovering quickly, could be available for first T20 WC match
Taskin got a side strain injury before the last T20I against Zimbabwe a few days ago after playing the first four matches of the series. The selection panel had to think hard about keeping him in the World Cup squad. However, he was named in the squad, that too, as a vice-captain for the first time ever.

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) medical department got the MRI report of Taskin today. After seeing the report, they are expecting that Taskin will recover before T20 World Cup’s first match against Sri Lanka on June 8. Related sources informed BDCrictime that this pacer has a strong possibility of playing from the first match of the World Cup.
Bangladesh are now currently in USA with the T20 World Cup squad for the three-match T20I series against the hosts. However, Taskin is absent from the team because of the injury. Bangladesh lost the series after losing the first two matches. The third match will be on May 25.
