Sri Lanka U19 crush Bangladesh U19 by 98 runs to take lead in ODI series

The youth ODI series between Bangladesh U19 and Sri Lanka U19 got off to a bad start for Bangladesh as they lost the first game by 98 runs at the Colombo Cricket Ground. With this easy win, the young Sri Lankan team now has a 1-0 lead in the series.
Sri Lanka made a good score of 241 for 6 in their 50 overs after winning the toss and choosing to bat first. Chamika Heenatigala led the way with a perfect 78 off 92 balls, and Senuja Wekunagoda added to the score with a steady 50 off 74 balls.
As for Bangladesh, Rizan Hossan and Iqbal Hossain Emon each took two wickets, and Al Fahad and Debasish Deba each took one.
Bangladesh's openers had a hard time right from the start in the chase. Opener Zawad Abrar scored 14 runs off 18 balls. Captain Azizul Hakim Tamim and Kalam Siddiki Aleen tried to tackle, but their efforts didn't last long. Before he was out, Tamim got 24 runs off of 31 balls, and Aleen worked hard for his 46 off of 65 balls.
After the first three, Bangladesh's middle order fell apart under pressure. Md Abdullah scored 17 runs off 27 balls, and Al Fahad scored 12 runs off 17 balls to stay perfect. In the end, Bangladesh were bowled out for only 143 runs after 33.3 overs.
Vigneshwaran Akash was Sri Lanka's best bowler. He tore through Bangladesh's batting order and took five wickets in a brilliant performance that sealed a resounding win.
