Tanzid Tamim scored a fantastic 67* off 47 balls to clinch down 125.
Being asked to bat first, Zimbabwe had a terrible way to start their innings as they lost their opener Craig Ervine earlier of the innings for a two ball duck to Mahedi Hasan. Wk-batter J Gumbie scored 17 off 14 balls before falling to Mohammad Saifuddin. Taskin Ahmed then ripped through the stumps of Sean Williams and Riyan Burl in the next delivery. Both went for golden ducks. Mahedi then got Sikandar Raza for a golden duck and Zimbabwe were stuttering on 38-6.
Clive Madande then showed his courage and played some crispy crunch shots and scored a gutsy 43 off 39 balls to help his side cross 100 mark barrier. He got supports from Masakadza who consumed 38 balls to score 34 balls and Zimbabwe posted just 124 runs on the board.
Taskin and Saifuddin shared 3 wickets each. While Mahedi Hasan had two wickets to his name and ripped through the batting lineup of Zimbabwe.
In reply, that was too easy for Bangladesh and they were always ahead in the chase. The batting led by the young cliche Tanzid Hasan Tamim anf Towhid Hridoy who picked up deliveries easily and punished them according to their merits.
However, Bangladesh had a blow earlier of their chase as they lost Litton Das for just 1. Tanzid Tamim teared apart Zimbabwe bowling lineup and smoked a fantastic 67* off just 47 balls, with the help of 2 gigantic sixes and 8 gorgeous boundaries while Towhid Hridoy scored 33 from 18 deliveries to help Bangladesh go 1-0 up in the 5 match T20I series.
