Bangladesh have secured win in the last match of the series against Ireland on Sunday (May 14). They won the series by 2-0 with a 5-run win in the third match of the three-match ODI series. The Tigers got a very thrilling win in the last match.

Batting first in the third match, Bangladesh scored 274 runs. Tamim Iqbal scored the only fifty of the innings. Although there was a chance to score more than 300 runs, it did not happen due to the failure of the batters in the end.

The Irish made a great start in reply. Their batting had been quite good in the middle as well. However, Bangladesh pacers continued to pick up the wickets in the end. Mustafizur Rahman and Hasan Mahmud were completely unfathomable to the Irish. In the end, Bangladesh took a dramatic victory by 5 runs. Captain Tamim Iqbal is also impressed with such a great performance of pacers.

Mustafizur, who played his first match in the series, took 4 wickets in 10 overs conceding 44 runs and was adjudged man of the match award too. Hasan got two wickets while Ebadot Hossain had one.

At the post-match award ceremony, Bangladesh captain Tamim said, “If you have a good bowling attack then it is easy to captain. I am very excited with the players we have especially the fast bowling unit. It is not only here but we have outnumbered a lot of teams with our support.”

As a result of this victory, the series victory is confirmed for Bangladesh. The Tigers won the 3-match series by 2-0. The first match was washed away by rain.
