The BPL 2024 has had it's curtain off as Fortune Barishal crashed defending champs Comilla Victorians in the final to clinch their maiden BPL title. Fortune Barishal have beaten Comilla Victorians by 6 wickets in the final to triumph the BPL.

Tamim delighted with Shoriful and Hridoy's performances and claimed this to be one of the best editions of BPL. 
In this BPL, the local cricketers have been absolutely flying from the very start of the season. The top three highest run getters are local, while the top three most wicket takers are also local cricketers. Towhid Hridoy was the second highest run scorer, scored 462 runs at an average of 38 and a staggering strike rate of 149. Shoriful was leading the chart with ball, becoming the highest wicket taker of the tournament he picked up 22 wickets. Fortune Barishal skipper Tamim Iqbal was in high praise for this duo.

"Shoriful bowled really well, Towhid Hridoy was the second highest run getter but his impact was huge. Whenever he scored, that impact was massive for Comilla. Shakib Al Hasan did well with both bat and ball. Though he didn’t start the tournament at the best way possible, but finished on a high. There are so many, but you ask me two names, I'll say Shoriful and Towhid Hridoy."

And overall this year's BPL arrangements Tamim said -

"Great tournament. This year's edition was one of the bests. Whatever anyone said about thr tournament, you shouldn’t focus on that rather focus on your own game. It was a great tournament according to me".
