Lack of proper fast bowlers in Bangladesh team has been a long shot trouble; perhaps the growing cricketing nation became developed in every aspect of the game except the pace section in which they are and always been running out of skills and physical abilities. Specialized pace camp under Walsh to be started from today

Since subcontinent wickets, food culture and variant propositions hindered the growth of natural fast bowlers, especially in the part of this region, Bangladesh, true borne pace giants might be a faraway dream for the country. In the last completed bilateral away series against South Africa, Bangladesh pace bowlers looked rather sharp less in fast and bouncy pitches in the African continent. Two days after ending the congested home schedules against Sri Lanka, board president Nazmul Hasan Papon sat with team management and senior cricketers to discuss about the rejuvenation of the team. In the aftermath of the meeting, BCB president directed pace bowling coach Courtney Walsh to organize a special pace camp with selected fast bowlers. According to the suggestion, a specialized 9 day camp consisted of 14 pacers has started on Friday (today). Five specialist batsmen are also included in the camp. The selected pacers are – Taskin Ahmed, Abu Jayed Rahi, Mustafizur Rahman, Abul Hasan Raju, Abu Hider Rony, Mohammad Saifuddin, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Rubel Hossain, Ebadot Hossain, Hasan Mahmud, Mohammad Rabiul, Khaled Ahmed, Kazi Onik and Hossain Ali. The five batsmen who received call in the camp are – Soumya Sarkar, Imrul Kayes, Ariful Haque, Jahir Hasan and Sabbir Rahman.
