Bangladesh won the ICC U19 World Cup 'A' group match by a big margin of 6 wickets. This 6-wicket win against Ireland paved the way for the Tigers to go to the next round. Bangladesh has one more match left in the group stage.

Losing the toss and batting in Bloemfontein, Ireland did not get off to a good start. When the team lost 4 wickets before reaching three figures, Kian Hilton took charge. The highest runs for the team came from his bat. Hilton, who scored 90 off 112 balls, narrowly missed out on a century.  

Sheikh Parvez Jibon and Maruf Mridha took a pair of wickets for Bangladesh. Besides, Rafi Uzzaman, Rohanat Doullah Borson, and captain Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby got one wicket each.

Bangladesh got off to a flying start in the chase. The two openers Ashiqur Rahman Shibli and Adil Bin Siddik scored 90 runs together. Shibli scored 44 and Adil 36 runs, but Bangladesh did not lose their way. Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan scored 21 runs and Ariful Islam departed after scoring 13 runs, Ahrar Amin and Mohammad Shihab James led the team. The two built a great partnership for the fifth wicket.

An unbroken stand of 109 runs ended with victory. Ahrar remained unbeaten on 45 runs from 63 balls but Shihab completed his fifty and left the field with 55 runs from 54 balls. Bangladesh won by 6 wickets and 19 balls in hand.
