Caribbean batter Sherfane Rutherford performed brilliantly in the recently-concluded Global T20 Canada including the final. In the final, he played an unbeaten innings of 38 runs off 29 balls. There were three fours and two sixes. He was adjudged man of the match. His team Montreal Tigers became champions.

The West Indies hard-hitter batted at an enviable strike rate of 130.17 throughout the tournament. He scored the second highest of 220 runs at an average of 44 in the tournament. This great performance brought him four awards on the same day.

Rutherford won a total of four awards at the end of the final match. Among them were some unique prizes. He got half an acre of land in America because of being the Man of the Series. He also got $500 for Moment of the Match, 1000 Canadian Dollars for Flip Challenge, and 1000 Canadian Dollars for Man of the Match. Even for such an award, this final will be hard to forget for Rutherford.

Litton scored 12 runs off 13 balls. Other batters also failed. Keeping one end, Jatinder Singh scored 56 runs from 57 balls. He had three fours in his innings. In the end, Aayan Afzal Khan played a cameo innings of 26 runs off 15 balls.

Montreal Tigers responded with a last-ball victory courtesy of Chris Lynn, Sherfane Rutherford, and Andre Russell. Rutherford played an unbeaten innings of 38 runs off 29 balls. Russell played an explosive innings of 20 runs off just 6 balls. Montreal won the title as a result.
