Bangladesh posted a competitive 265 on the board after alloted 50 overs. Shakib Al Hasan's fantastic 80 and Towhid's gutsy 54 followed by Nasum's quick-fire 44 helped Bangladesh post 265 on the board. For India Shardul Thakur picked up 3 wickets and Shami had 2 in this surface.

After winning the toss India opted to bowl first. Coming out to bowl, they made the most of the damage with new ball as Mohammad Shami and Shardul Thakur breathing fire. Shami removed Litton Das for a 2 ball duck with a ripper of a delivery. Tanzid Tamim started started well with 3 boundaries but Shardul Thakur knocked him over for 12 off 13 deliveries. Anamul Bijoy was struggling horribly and he didn't seem to take runs despite he kept blocking balls. But his struggling innings came to an end as Thakur sent him off for 4 consuming 11 deliveries.

Skipper Shakib Al Hasan and Mehedi Miraz stitched a partnership of 31 runs before Miraz fell to Axar for his sedate 13 off 28 balls. Bangladesh were stuttering for 59-4.
Then skipper Shakib and young Towhid Hridoy took the rein of the match and went for scoring 101 runs together at 5th wicket partnership. The partnership was broken at 160-5 when Thakur rattled down Shakib's stumps on his 80 off 85 deliveries. On the other hand, Towhid Hridoy scored fifty and got out immediately after scoring 54 off 81 balls. Bangladesh still didn't cross 200 mark barrier as Towhid was out on 193. It was Nasum's late burst which helped Bangladesh breaching 200 mark barrier.

The duo Nasum and Mahedi Hasan were absolutely treat to watch.Particularly Nasum Ahmed was at his best with his fluent hitting. The duo added 45 runs in the tally. Nasum scored a fantastic 44 off 45 deliveries before getting out to Prasidh Krishna. The last pair Mahedi and Tanzim Sakib added handy 27 runs off 16 balls and Mahedi scored a brilliant 29 off 23 balls which helped Bangladesh post a competitive 265-8 after alloted 50 overs.
