Bangla Tigers have succumbed to a third-straight defeat in the Abu Dhabi T10 League on Sunday (November 27). This team Northern Warriors beat them by 6 wickets.
Bangladesh star all-rounder and Bangla Tigers captain Shakib Al Hasan did not get a chance to bat in this match but took two wickets with the ball in two overs at the cost of 20 runs.
In response to the target of 118 runs given by Bangla Tigers, West Indies power-hitter Rovman Powell alone won the match for Northern Warriors. He scored 76 runs from 28 balls with 9 sixes and a four. He was also unbeaten to grab the win for the team with 4 balls in hand. Another West Indies batter Sherfane Rutherford scored 22 runs from 11 balls.
Earlier, after winning the toss and batting first, Bangla Tigers lost 4 wickets in 10 overs and got a total of 117 runs. Two openers Hazratullah Zazai and Joe Clarke built the foundation of Tigers' innings. They scored 64 runs in the opening wicket. Clarke scored 24 runs from 15 balls. And Zazai scored 37 runs from 21 balls with four fours and two sixes.
And at the end, Evin Lewis played a stormy innings of 38 runs off just 15 balls with three sixes and two fours. However, Shakib did not get a chance to bat in this match.
