Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi spoke about the recent viral video of players loading their luggage onto a container truck outside Sydney airport and said they helped each other to save time.
Pakistan left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi revealed why the players loaded their luggage onto the container truck at Sydney Airport themselves. The photos and videos of the same recently went viral on social media, sparking several speculations and even criticism of the board among fans.
However, the 23-year-old stated that the players were helping each other as they only had 30 minutes left to catch the next flight.
“We only had 30 minutes to catch our next flight and we helped because there were only two people. “We wanted to do it quickly and save time,” revealed Afridi.
Afridi also shared his team's ambitions for the upcoming three-match Test series against Australia starting December 14 in Perth.
“This is an important series for Pakistan as we are currently leading the World Test Championship points table,” he said.
“We will not give David Warner an easy task in his final series,” says Shaheen Afridi
David Warner will retire from test cricket after the series against Pakistan. In 109 matches he has scored 8487 runs with 25 hundreds. Shaheen wished him good luck but also said that Pakistan will not make things easy for him.
“We played against the recently announced 14-man Australia squad and we are all ready for the challenge,” he added.
Pakistan will take on the Prime Minister's team in a four-day match at the Manuka Oval in Canberra starting December 6.
