Pakistan has announced the playing XI for the third and last Test of the series against Australia in Sydney starting tomorrow (January 3).

To better manage his workload, Pakistan's vice-captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has been given a rest for the third and final Test match against Australia, which will take place at the SCG. The opening batter Imam-ul-Haq, who struggled in the second test match at the MCG despite reaching a half-century in Perth, will be replaced by Saim Ayub, who will make his debut in the Test.

Spinner Sajid Khan will replace Shaheen Shah Afridi in the playing XI. Although not initially included in the squad, he was brought in as a result of numerous injuries sustained by the Pakistani team.

Additionally, Australia declared their playing XI for the match earlier today, maintaining the same lineup as the previous Test. David Warner will also play his final Test match in Australian colours.

The third Test is scheduled to take place in Sydney between January 3rd and 7th. At the moment, Australia maintain an unconquerable 2-0 advantage in the series and rank No.3 in the standings of the ICC World Test Championship.
