In the twelfth match of the 10th season of the Bangladesh Premier League, Rangpur Riders and Durdanto Dhaka faced each other. Batting first against Dhaka, Rangpur collected 183 runs. In response, Dhaka stopped at 104 runs, Rangpur won by a huge margin of 79 runs. 

Dhaka captain Mosaddek Hossain won the toss and decided to field first at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Brandon King and Babar Azam started the innings for Rangpur.

King departed after scoring 20 runs off 13 balls. Rony Talukdar went down to No. 3 and scored 11 runs off 7 balls. After the fall of the 2nd wicket for 47 runs, Babar Azam made a partnership of 50 runs with the captain Nurul Hasan Sohan for the 3rd wicket.

Sohan departed after scoring 26 runs off 24 balls, but Babar completed his half-century. He scored 62 off 46 balls with 5 fours before departing at the team’s 138 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai took the responsibility of keeping the wheels of the run moving at the end. A cameo of 32 off 15 balls guided the team to a big collection. Besides, Shamim Hossain’s short innings of 17 runs off 8 balls also played a role.

Coming down to reply, Dhaka was disorganized from the start. However, even on such a day, Shakib could not take advantage of the ball. Although Rangpur lost 8 wickets, Shakib did not bat but conceded 4 fours in the first 2 overs. Taskin Ahmed did not bat and Dhaka lost 9 wickets for 104 runs. For Rangpur, Mahedi Hasan took 3 wickets, Omarzai and Hasan Mahmood got 2 wickets each and Mohammad Nabi and Shakib Al Hasan picked up one wicket each.
