In an impressive feat, Rangpur Riders have emerged as the champions of the inaugural Global Super League, securing their first-ever title in the tournament. The Bangladesh team clinched the trophy with a commanding victory over Victoria in the final, and this remarkable achievement has garnered praise from cricket enthusiasts worldwide.

The triumph of Rangpur Riders has caught the attention of Bangladesh's national team players, who have showered the team with congratulatory messages. Bangladesh's acting captain on the West Indies tour, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, shared his excitement on Facebook, writing, "Heartiest congratulations to the first Bangladeshi team to claim the Global Super League title! This historic win brings immense pride to Bangladesh. You’ve shown the world what we’re capable of!"

Former national captain Tamim Iqbal also took to his Facebook page, posting, "Congratulations Rangpur Riders… Fabulous achievement."

Meanwhile, Mushfiqur Rahim expressed his joy on Facebook, stating, "Big congratulations brothers ..Ma Shaa Allah the first Bangladesh team to become the champion in Global super league…Certainly all of you made Bangladesh proud."

Rangpur’s historic victory was not an easy journey. Initially, the team was not even supposed to be part of the tournament. The 2022 BPL champions, Fortune Barishal, had initially planned to participate but opted out. Similarly, the runners-up of the last BPL season, Comilla Victorians, also decided not to compete, thus opening the door for Rangpur to step in.

Despite a tough start, losing their first two matches and being on the brink of elimination, Rangpur Riders made a stunning comeback. Their exceptional turnaround saw them securing a spot in the final, where they ultimately triumphed to become the champions.
