Rangpur secured a spot in the final of the National Cricket League (NCL) T20 tournament with a thrilling 4-wicket victory against Dhaka Metro in the first qualifier held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The win marks a significant milestone for Rangpur, showcasing their all-round dominance in the competition.

After winning the toss, Dhaka Metro elected to bat first but struggled against Rangpur’s disciplined bowling attack. The team managed to post 107 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Imran Uzzaman was the top scorer for Metro, contributing a cautious 30 runs off 42 balls. Aminul Islam Biplob remained unbeaten with a 24-ball 23, adding some late resistance.

Rangpur’s bowlers were the stars of the innings, with Robiul Haque taking 3 wickets and Alauddin Babu claiming 2 crucial scalps. Anamul Haque Enam and Arif Ahmed each chipped in with a wicket to restrict Metro to a modest total.
