Gujrat Titans have beaten Mumbai Indians by 36 runs on Saturday (March 29) in Ahmedabad. Sai Sudharsan's fine 63 and 30's knocks from Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler helped GT get to 196 on the board. In reply, Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna shared two wickets each to defend the total.

Being asked to bat first, GT had a very strong start as the opening duo Sai Sudharsan and skipper Shubman Gill added 78 runs off the opening stand before the departure of their captain Gill after his fine knock of 38. But Jos Buttler came in and joined the former one and they too added another fifty run stand before Mujeeb Ur Rahman got Buttler rid off after his 39 off 24 balls.

However, Sai Sudharsan brought up a nice fifty, scoring 63 off 41 deliveries and helped his side get to a competitive total of 196 on the board.

In reply, Mohammad Siraj wracked havoc the Mumbai Indians opening duo, castling to the Rohit Sharma's stumps and uprooting the stumps of wicketkeeper batter Ryan Rickelton as Mumbai Indians had a horrible start. Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav did the rebuild job, adding 62 runs off just 42 deliveries before the departure of Tilak after his 39 off 36 balls to Prasidh Krishna.

After the fall of Tilak, Prasidh then got Suryakumar Yadav rid off and Mumbai Indians were in all sorts of trouble once again, losing set batters in quick succession. Other batters failed to capitalise the platform as Mumbai Indians were restricted to 160 runs and GT claimed a fine 36 runs victory.
