Regarding international T20 tournaments, Cummins has primarily participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the 16 IPL games this year, he grabbed 18 wickets at an average of 31.44 with a 9.27 economy rate. He also led his team Sunrisers Hyderabad to the final of the tournament.
With just one victory in their first three games this season, the San Francisco Unicorns will benefit from Cummins's boost. Making history, Cummins also bagged back-to-back hat-tricks at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. In 151 T20 matches, he has taken 172 wickets at an economy rate of 8.11 and an average of 26.66.
With the arrival of the Australian captain, West Indies all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford leaves the team since he is unable to play in the MLC because of a family bereavement.
