Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif has given a startling insight into the current state of Pakistan cricket. As Pakistan struggles on the field in the ongoing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, reports of unrest in the team are doing the rounds.

In a surprising revelation, former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif has dropped a bombshell as he revealed that cricketers have been going without their contributions for the last five months. Recent whispers from the locker room suggested a noticeable lack of camaraderie, indicating a significant rift between team members.

The Pakistan Cricket Board was forced to issue an official statement dismissing these speculations. However, a recent report from a Pakistani media source suggests that players were disheartened by the lack of support from the board over the last 15 days.

In fact, the rumors were so strong that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had to release a statement denying the reports of discrepancies. And recently, another report by Pakistani media suggested that the players were unhappy over the lack of support they received from the PCB during difficult times in the ongoing World Cup.

The players are reportedly unhappy that the board did not protect them from the harsh criticism. The players are also disappointed with the PCB for releasing the statement denying the reports of unrest in the dressing room. And amidst all of this, Rashid Latif has made some bombshell revelations.

Speaking to media, Rashid Latif claimed that Babar Azam had sent messages to PCB officials, including chairman Zaka Ashraf, for the last two days but received no response. He also revealed that Pakistan players have not received their salaries for the last five months.

“A lot of things are happening in the Pakistani media. Maybe it's a hoax. I will give you the true news that has been withheld,” Rashid Latif said.

“Babar Azam tried to contact the chairman for the last two days but he did not respond. He sends a message to Salman Naseer (Chief Operating Officer), he sends a message to Usman Walha (Director – International Cricket). So what is the reason why they didn't respond to their captain? Then issue a press release,” he added.

Additionally, Rashid Latif claimed that the Pakistan players were told that the central contracts they had recently signed would be reconsidered by the board. The PCB and players were embroiled in a long dispute over the contract before finally agreeing on a deal just before the World Cup.

“And the players have been told that we will reconsider the central contracts they have signed. These central contracts will not be accepted. The players haven't received their salaries for five months, so how will they play? I didn’t want to reveal that,” said Rashid Latif.
