One Aussie dynamic opener and Sri Lankan superb duo in the nomination list of ICC Men's Player of the Month for September 2024
Two impactful Sri Lankan stars - Prabath Jayasuriya and Kamindu Mendis have joined Aussie dynamic opener Travis Head in the nomination list.

The ICC has announced the nominees of the ICC Men's Player of the Month for September 2024. Two impactful Sri Lankan stars - Prabath Jayasuriya and Kamindu Mendis have joined Aussie dynamic opener Travis Head in the nomination list.
Travis Head
Travis Head has excelled his role as a fierce top order batter. In his five T20I appearances, he amassed 182 runs at a jaw dropping strike rate of 245.94.
Travis Head Head also flourished in the ODI's as well, playing five ODI matches against Australia's arch-rivals, he plundered 248 runs at an average of 82.66 in his four innings in the five-match series, hitting at a strike rate of 120.97 and taking six wickets on the tour, most notably bagging 4/28 in the decisive fifth ODI to help Australia win the series. And also he was adjusted as the player of the series.
Prabath Jayasuriya
Sri Lanka's Prabath Jayasuriya is another nominee in the list. He played a huge vital Sri Lanka's series whitewash over New Zealand, scalping nine wickets in each of the two Test victories, including a five-wicket haul in both matches.
Prabath Jayasuriya Over the month, he took 21 wickets at 27.90 in three Tests, including the second Test in England.
Kamindu Mendis
The meteoric rise of Kamindu Mendis has uplifted him in this list. Mendis played four Test matches in the month, piling up 451 runs at a Bradmanesque average of 90.20, assisting his side to a consolation victory at The Oval in England before playing his part in a superb whitewash over New Zealand at home.
