The fast bowlers Naveen-ul-Haq and Fazalhaq Farooqi have been selected for Afghanistan's Twenty20 International series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman was not included on the list of players with Afghanistan's team.

"The ACB directed the relevant committee assigned to the matter to conduct a comprehensive investigation and urged them to communicate their findings and proposed solutions to the board after thoroughly assessing the players' requests," the statement said.

The T20 International captain Rashid Khan, who had recently undergone back surgery, was unable to participate in the series against the United Arab Emirates. Ibrahim Zadran filled in for him. Rashid, on the other hand, is with the team as reserves.
