Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan has raised concerns over the ongoing trophy tour for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. With the tournament's schedule and venues still unclear, Khan questioned the logic behind promoting the event when key details remain unsettled.

The ICC recently kicked off the Champions Trophy tour in Pakistan on November 16, starting from Skardu in northern Pakistan. This marks the first stop in a tour that will showcase the prestigious trophy in locations such as Murree, Hunza, and Muzaffarabad, lasting until November 24. The trophy, famously lifted by the former men in green captain Sarfaraz Ahmed in 2017, was transported to Islamabad from Dubai by ICC officials, despite the uncertainty surrounding the tournament.

While the event is scheduled to take place in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9, 2025, India's refusal to travel to Pakistan has created doubts about the tournament's future. As a result, the ICC has yet to finalize the venues and overall schedule, leaving fans in the dark.

Moin Khan expressed his frustration, noting the odd timing of the trophy tour given the lack of clarity. “What is the purpose of this trophy tour when no one really knows at which venues the tournament will be held and whether Pakistan and India will play against each other in the event?” he remarked. He also pointed out that it’s unusual to have a trophy tour without first announcing the official schedule for the tournament. "Strange having a trophy tour without the schedule being announced" he added.

The trophy was originally set to be unveiled in Lahore earlier this month, but the event was postponed due to India's decision not to travel and smog-related issues in the city. Despite the ongoing uncertainties, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has remained optimistic, sharing updates on social media and highlighting the excitement surrounding the trophy tour.
