Scotland beat Namibia by 5 wickets on Friday (7th June) at Kensington Oval, Bridgetwon, Barbados. Brad Wheal and Bradley Currie bowled brilliantly to restrict Namibia under 160. In reply, Captain Richie Berrington's [47 off 35] and Michael Leask's quick-fire cameo [35 off 17] helped Scotland topple Namibia.

Michael Leask picked up one wicket with the ball and then provided a quick-fire cameo of 35 from 17 deliveries. 

Choosing to bat first, Namibia lost their opener Kotze for a three-ball duck to Wheal. Niko Davin had a start as he made 20 off 12 balls, while Jan Frylinck couldn’t get going and consumed 14 deliveries to score just 12.

Namibian batters had starts and couldn’t capitalise their starts to a big score, barring their captain Gerhard Erasmus who stood tall on the occasion, scoring a blistering 52 off only 31 deliveries, which included 2 sixes and 5 boundaries helped Namibia post a middling 155 on the board as they failed to fire up in the death overs.

For Scotland, Brad Wheal had three wickets and Bradley Currie picked up two wickets.

In reply, George Munsey fell earlier but Michael Jones looked dangerous and he made 26 off 20 balls. But the middle overs from captain Erasmus and Bernerd Scholtz kept Scotland under immense pressure and hence, they slipped to 73-4 after 10 overs. They needed a blinfer of an innings and Michael Leask provided that much needed impetus to Scotland's innings as he blasted a 35 off only 17 deliveries, with skipper Richie Berrington held one end to score a gritty 47 off 35 balls to win it for Scotland with 9 balls to spare.
