Glenn Maxwell has made himself synonymous with aggressive cricket. Maxwell hit a great century in the second T20I against the West Indies in an extremely brutal batting. And on that occasion, Australia won the three-match T20I series by 34 runs with one match in hand.   

West Indies won the toss at Adelaide Oval and sent Australia into bat first. Batting, Australia's opening pair broke at the team's 14 runs. Opener Josh Inglis was dismissed after scoring 4 runs off 6 balls. Then Mitchell Marsh started resisting with David Warner. Australia's innings gained speed with the batting of the two. Despite getting a good start, Marsh could not extend his innings. After playing an aggressive innings of 29 runs from 12 balls, he was dismissed. Australia scored 58 runs in 6 overs of Powerplay.

The surviving opener Warner was dismissed in the next over of the powerplay. After playing an innings of 22 runs from 19 balls, he was dismissed at the head of the team's 64 runs. Then the Glenn Maxwell Show started. Maxwell continued to dismantle the Caribbean bowlers with a sharp batting at the crease. Maxwell started scoring runs with a flurry of four-sixes. Runs started to rise at a rocket speed on the team's board as well.

Maxwell continued aggressive batting. Due to aggressive batting, he quickly went very close to the century. Maxwell started scoring runs with great shots from all sides of the wicket. Finally he reached the three-digit magic figure.

Among the rest of the batters, Marcus Stoinis scored 16 runs off 15 balls. In the end, Tim David played a cameo innings of 31 runs off 14 balls. And Maxwell, who scored his fifth century in the international T20, was unbeaten on 120 runs off 55 balls. Maxwell touched Rohit Sharma's century in T20 International. A few days ago, Rohit single-handedly topped the list by scoring his 5th century. Maxwell touched Rohit once more. Both have five centuries in T20 Internationals. Australia scored 241 runs after losing 4 wickets at the end of the scheduled 20 overs.

Jason Holder took 2 wickets for West Indies. In addition, Alzarri Joseph and Romario Shepherd got 1 wicket each. 

The West Indies batters also batted fiercely to answer. Opener Brandon King was dismissed for 5 runs off 9 balls but Johnson Charles and Nicholas Pooran ran rampant. Charles scored 24 runs off 11 balls. On the other hand, Pooran played an innings of 18 runs off 10 balls. Despite losing wickets, West Indies did not stop aggressive batting. West Indies scored 62 runs after losing 4 wickets in 6 overs of Powerplay.

Andre Russell and Rovman Powell started attacking batting. Runs started to rise on the board of the team due to the fierce batting of the two. Russell departed after playing a cameo innings of 37 runs off 16 balls. On the other hand, Powell picked up a fifty. Powell played a great innings of 63 runs from 36 balls. Jason Holder was unbeaten on 28 off 16 balls. West Indies scored 207 runs after losing 9 wickets at the end of scheduled 20 overs. Australia won by 34 runs. 

Marcus Stoinis took 3 wickets for Australia. Josh Hazlewood and Spencer Johnson got 2 wickets each.  As a result of this victory, Australia are now 2-0 ahead in the three-match T20 series.
