Khaled bowled total 30 overs combining both the innings and couldn't manage to pick up a wicket. But he showed some promise with his pace, although he failed to adjust his line and length in most of the occasions.
However, Mahmudullah is impressed with the debutant's bowling and feels the pacer was good enough considering to the fact that it was his first Test match.
"Khaled bowled really well considering that it was his first match. He was a bit unlucky and we dropped a few catches badly otherwise his bowling figure would have looked more beautiful. The first over Khaled bowled, I think he bowled three bouncers on the trot. I went upto him and asked if he was nervous, perhaps he was a bit nervous but later he recovered from early nerves."
"If he had gotten one or two wickets then maybe he would have bowled with more effort. When you get wickets in Test cricket, then effort level goes up. He is a very young prospect for Bangladesh and he can do well," he added.
Meanwhile, another pacer Mushtazifur Rahman wasn't also at his best as he only picked up one wicket in this Test match. The skipper felt Mustafizur needed some luck too and gave credit to his spinners who were the main main to destroy the Zimbabwe batsmen.
"Mustafiz also bowled really well. Sometimes you need luck on your side and Mustafiz was bowling in the right areas too. Miraz and Taijul were the standout performers amongst the spinners."
