West Indies have won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second ODI of the three-match ODI series on Tuesday (December 10) at Warner Park in Basseterre, St Kitts. West Indies are 1-0 ahead in the series.
Bangladesh have made one change to their squad. Shoriful Islam replaces Taskin Ahmed in the playing XI. On the other hand, West Indies hand debut to pacer Marquino Mindley. He replaces Alzarri Joseph in the squad.
West Indies captain Shai Hope said at the toss, “We are going to bowl first, there's some going to be some moisture early on here. There is always something that you can work upon. We could have been better with the ball to start with and also more clinical with the bat. One change for us - Marquino Mindley is making his debut and he comes in for Alzarri Joseph.”
Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz said at the toss, “We are playing on the same wicket so it can be a good opportunity for our spinners. If we get a good score, we can win the match. It's difficult to bowl on this surface but we believe we can bowl well, Rishad bowled well in the last match. We couldn't pick up wickets in the middle overs. One change for us - Shoriful Islam comes in for Taskin Ahmed.”
West Indies defeated Bangladesh in the first ODI with ease by 5 wickets.
