Once upon a time, foreign cricketers were the inspiration for Bangladeshi cricketers. Now the cricketers of the country are encouraged by Bangladesh national team cricketers. Young pacer Musfik Hasan is a fan of South Africa's Kagiso Radaba, but he doesn't have to look to South Africa for inspiration, rather looking at Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman for inspiration.

Musfik Hasan, who has performed well for the domestic and 'A' teams, has been called up for the one-off Test against Afghanistan. The short-spoken cricketer got flustered when he came to the press conference for the first time. Words do not want to come out of the mouth. But what he said is clear - there is no shortage of cricket knowledge.

Musfik said, “I get motivation from the pace bowling unit of Bangladesh. And I follow Rabada. I enjoy playing Test cricket a lot. I will try to do better InShaAllah.”

Musfik joined the national team camp for the first time on Thursday (June 8). Test captain Shakib Al Hasan congratulated the pacer despite not being in the team due to injury. Pace bowling coach Allan Donald also welcomed Musfik. Musfik thinks that he got the opportunity in the national team because of his performance in first-class cricket i.e. NCL, BCL, and 'A' team.

He added, “Alhamdulillah, I got a call to the national team. I played very well in first-class cricket, that's why I got called. I adjust the line-length accuracy first and then concentrate on the speed. First, keeping the line length fixed, I try something surprising to keep the batter in awe. I played in the 'A' team the same way I played in the NCL-BCL. Even if I get a chance to play in the national team, I will play in the same way.”
