"You Want Me to Say Something Silly, Don’t You?" – Billings Hits Back with Humor
When asked to compare the two leagues, Billings chuckled and replied:
“You want me to say something silly, don’t you? The great thing about cricket is that everywhere you go around the world, you have to adapt to conditions. The conditions—playing in India, Pakistan, Australia, and England—you have to adapt as a cricketer.”
His response left the room in laughter. But he didn’t stop there.
"Hard to Look Past the IPL" – Billings Calls IPL the Premier T20 League
Billings then got serious and admitted what many already believe: “It’s hard to rank all the competitions. But I think it’s hard to look past the IPL as the premier competition. It’s pretty obvious. Every other competition is just behind.”
He added that even in England, through leagues like The Hundred, there's a push to become the second-best T20 competition in the world similar to efforts in PSL and Big Bash League.
Billings is no stranger to franchise cricket. He made his PSL debut back in 2015-16 for Islamabad United and since 2023 he’s been part of Lahore Qalandars.
In the IPL Billings played across five seasons (2016–2022) for franchises like Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders. In 30 matches, he scored 503 runs at an average of 19.53.
