Sunrisers Hyderabad sneaked away a narrow win over Rajasthan Royals only by one run on Thursday (2nd May). After the batting heroics of Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pat Cummins showed their class with the ball to defend the total.

SRH gave RR 202 target. At one point, RR were ahead of SRH as Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal had a 134 run stand but Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar helped SRH to recover the bad phase and comeback strong. Cummins gave away 24 runs off the first two overs but came back strongly as he conceded just 10 runs off the last two overs in death.

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled an exceptional spell with the new ball, removing Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson for ducks and defending 12 runs in the last over, RR needed 2 off the last delivery of Bhuvneshwar and he trapped Rovman Powell for LBW and won it for SRH by only 1 run.

After the match, captain Cummins said when Bhuvi was ready to bowl the final delivery, he forgot that if Bhuvi took a wicket, they would win, he was thinking about super over.

"Amazing game. Didn't think we had that one until literally the last ball. It is T20 cricket, you get used to the batters getting over the line. When you get to the last over, you do feel anything can happen. Bhuvneshwar nailed six yorkers. On the last ball, it did not really cross my mind that we could get a wicket, was thinking Super Over," Cummins said after the game."

"Natarajan is an awesome yorker bowler. They batted really well and, fortunately, got a few wickets. They are quality players, cannot give them chances," Cummins added.

The carnage that Nitish spread during his time on the crease compensated for SRH's slow start in the powerplay.

"He is fantastic. He summed up the conditions really well - took the first ten balls to get himself in and then basically hit it wherever he wanted. He is amazing, is great in the field, and gives a couple of handy overs as well," Cummins concluded.
