Sunrisers Hyderabad sneaked away a narrow win over Rajasthan Royals only by one run on Thursday (2nd May). After the batting heroics of Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pat Cummins showed their class with the ball to defend the total.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a superb last over to hand SRH a narrow victory over RR.SRH gave RR 202 target. At one point, RR were ahead of SRH as Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal had a 134 run stand but Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar helped SRH to recover the bad phase and comeback strong. Cummins gave away 24 runs off the first two overs but came back strongly as he conceded just 10 runs off the last two overs in death.

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled an exceptional spell with the new ball, removing Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson for ducks and defending 12 runs in the last over, RR needed 2 off the last delivery of Bhuvneshwar and he trapped Rovman Powell for LBW and won it for SRH by only 1 run.

After the match Bhuvneshwar said, he didn't focus on the result, rather he focused on the process.

"(On being calm) I think that's my nature, I wasn't thinking much about the result in the last over. There was no discussion in the last over, was just focussed on the process. Was thinking just about bowling two good balls, anything could have happened. I wasn't thinking much, was just focussed on the process. The ball swung so much today, can't really pinpoint, really enjoyed bowling. Luckily got wickets today. When the season started my thought process was different but it changed when the batters played in such a way. My thought process changed completely to be honest (from the time the time the season started to today.)"

With the narrow victory SRH have topped to inside four after winning 6 matches out of 10.
