Australia's Travis Head delivered a remarkable century in front of his home crowd during the second Test of the series against India at Adelaide Oval. However, his innings was overshadowed by an intense exchange with India's Mohammad Siraj. After Siraj dismissed Head, the bowler gave the Australian batter an aggressive send-off, gesturing toward the pavilion.

Speaking to Fox Cricket after the match, Head expressed his disappointment with Siraj's reaction.

"I said well bowled, but he thought otherwise,when he pointed me into the sheds, I thought that he got a little bite back from me. Yeah, slightly disappointed with the way that transpired with a couple of the past innings. But yeah, it's what it is. If they want to react like that and that's how they want to represent themselves, then so be it"  Head remarked

“Nice to get a few runs. Batting has been going nicely for the last few weeks and it was good to get some runs. I took my chances, they bowled well, it was a tough wicket, and have put the guys in a good position,” said Travis Head.

“With the quality of quicks they have, got to take chances, with the field up I was going to take my chances. Played really well in some moments,” he added.

Head’s superb knock of 140, which came at a rapid pace, played a pivotal role in Australia gaining control on Day 2 of the pink-ball Test. His aggressive approach allowed Australia to post a competitive total of 337 runs in their first innings, giving them a crucial 157-run lead over India.

In response, India's top order struggled against the precision of Australia's bowling attack. Pat Cummins and Scott Boland led the charge, each taking two wickets, while Mitchell Starc also chipped in by dismissing Shubman Gill. As a result, India finished the day at 128/5, still trailing by 29 runs and under significant pressure to avoid a defeat within three days.

Australia’s commanding performance with both bat and ball has put them on the verge of leveling the series, with India's batting lineup facing a tough challenge to turn the tide on Day 3.
