Kyle Mayers all round brilliance helped Fortune Barishal win their maiden BPL title by thumping the defending champions Comilla Victorians by 6 wickets. Kyle Mayers said he wishes to see more players come and feature in BPL.

"It means a lot, for the last few months, I've been struggling on the road, was there in SA20, played one game, played one match in Australia (during the West Indies tour), so to come here and chip in was great. Each and every one gave us a lot of support, both on and off the field, the management has been great. The fans here have been right behind us at all times. It's nice to come out on top of fellow West Indians, we're very good in T20s and I hope more players will come and feature in the BPL. Feel sorry for Narine, Russell and Charles to finish on a losing note."
