Hridoy is a special player but Litton is Bangladesh's best white-ball batter: Harsha Bhogle
Sri Lanka also bowled well on a slow pitch. But Towhid Hridoy's blitzkrieg 40 off 20 deliveries and a gutsy knock of 36 from 38 balls from Litton Das helped Bangladesh chase down the total. Though Bangladesh lost wickets in regular intervals, Mahmudullah Riyad kept his nerve cool in the end and picked up the win for Bangladesh. However, Shanto is not much worried about the batters.

Popular commentator Harsha Bhogle has been praising Litton Das since the beginning of his career. He again praises Litton on social media ‘X’ after Bangladesh’s win against Sri Lanka in the ICC T20 World Cup on June 8 in Dallas.
Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 2 wickets in a thriller on Saturday (8th June) at Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas. Bangladesh pacers - Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman bowled superbly with lot of variations at the start of the innings and during the death overs as well. While Rishad Hossain provided crucial breakthroughs in the middle over as he picked up Charith Asalanka and Wanindu Hasaranga in consecutive deliveries to leave Sri Lanka stutter. In the end, Sri Lanka scored 124 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, Sri Lanka also bowled well on a slow pitch.
Harsha praises Hridoy also but according to him, Litton is the best white-ball batter for Bangladesh. “Been hearing a lot about Towhid Hridoy and it was no exaggeration. He looks a special player. But for Bangladesh, Litton Das coming back to form is critical because I do believe he is their best white ball batter,” Harsha wrote on X.
Bangladesh lost 8 wickets when they were at 113 runs. At that time, they still needed 12 runs. But veteran Mahmudullah Riyad kept his nerve cool and finished off the match with an unbeaten innings of 16 runs off 13 balls. But Riyad was not in the team in the last T20 World Cup in 2022, he was not considered that time. Later, he made a great comeback in the team.
Harsha expresses his surprise that how Bangladesh were thinking the team without Riyad at that time. “Can't believe Bangladesh were thinking of looking beyond Mahmudullah sometime back,” Harsha wrote on X.
