Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings by 3 wickets and got back to their winning ways. Brilliant bowling from Avesh Khan and Keshav Maharaj marginalised Punjab Kings to 147. In reply, Shimron Hetmayer's cameo propelled Royals to top of the table.

Shimron Hetmyer played a crucial role in Rajasthan's table topper win. 
After being invited to bat first, Punjab Kings didn't have a solid way to start their innings. They lost their openers inside the powerplay. Maharaj - Avesh combined a riot to tear apart Punjab Kings and marginalised them at a bay. It was Liam Livingstone who showed some hope and gave the much needed impetus to the innings with his blitz 21 off 14 balls.

Livingstone's cameo was carried by Ashutosh Sharma who smacked a fantastic 31 off just 16 balls. With the help of these breezy knocks Punjab Kings finished on 147-8 after 20 overs.

In reply, Yashasvi Jaiswal gave Rajasthan a flying start with his 39 off 28 deliveries. It was Tanus Kotian who played a tortoise like innings of 24 from 31 balls which backlashed Rajasthan. All the other batters chipped in with crucial runs but Punjab Kings fought back hard with some crucial wickets in the vital junction of the game. But Shemron Hetmayer's onslaught ensured Rajasthan's win in a low scoring thriller. Hetmayer made a swashbuckling 27* off 10 balls and with the win Rajasthan are top of the table.
