Sri Lanka had an excellent day and they've a great chance to win the Test match. Vishwa Fernando and Lahiru Kumara ran riot through the English batting lineup and folded England for a paltry 156 runs. In reply of England's 219, Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis gave Sri Lanka a thumping start to race to 94 inside 15 overs.

The day was well set up by the Lankan pacers. Especially Vishwa Fernando and Lahiru Kumara as the duo teared apart England's top order. Dan Lawrence scored some runs under his belt and got out on 35 off 35 deliveries. After the departure of Lawrence, England lost the plot as they kept losing wickets at regular basis.

When wickets were tumbling, Wicket-keeper batter Jamie Smith stood tall and hold things together, scoring a sensational 67 runs off just 50 deliveries to help England past through 150.

However, England's batting display was poor and credit goes to Vishwa Fernando and Lahiru Kumara who shared 7 wickets together.
In reply of 2019, Sri Lanka lost their gun opener Dimuth Karunaratne earlier of the innings. But other opener Pathum Nissanka and number-three batter Kusal Mendis started hammering England's bowler, smashing them everywhere of the park and raced to 94 for 1 inside only 15 overs.

Sri Lanka need 125 more runs to win the match, with highflying Pathum Nissanka on the crease on 53* off just 44 deliveries and Kusal Mendis on 30* off 25 balls. The Lankans have 9 more wickets in their hands and they surely will sleep confidently tonight.
