England started with a massive boost up as they'd 67 runs lead. Ben Stokes and Harry Brook stretched the lead to a different level. The partnership between these two was worth of 86 runs. Stokes brought up a fifty but couldn’t get a ton as he departed to skipper Cummins. Brook made 61 and went back to the pavilion but the damage was already done and more was yet to come.

Jonny Bairstow literally took on Aussie bowlers and smacked them for fun. He mowed down the Aussie bowlers with utter disdain. Jonny Bairstow kept hitting with tailenders and raced to 99* from only 81 balls before James Anderson got out to Cameron Green as he trapped him for LBW and Bairstow remained unbeaten on 99*. But England were already too ahead from Aussies as they made 592 and the lead was worth of 275 runs.

Josh Hazlewood was the pick of the bowlers from Australia as he picked up 5 wickets in an innings to forget. Green and Starc handed support to Hazlewood with their 2. And Cummins got one of Stokes that scalp.
To reduce the deficit, Aussie openers started with fine intents and showed guts against the new ball and saw off the new ball. But Khawaja nicked off to Mark Wood and Warner got another good start but spoiled it yet again as he was cleaned up by Chris Woakes. Steve Smith had another off colored day as he tried to hit a bouncer from Wood but could manage edge the ball and Bairstow didn’t do any mistake to grab the catch of big fish. Australia are still 162 runs away from England and England surely will be looking to wrap things up within the morning to square the series.
