England name newly looked ODI squad for West Indies tour
England will play a 3-match ODI and 5-match T20I series against West Indies in the Caribbean tour. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has kept 6 of the cricketers who played in the World Cup in the ODI series team.

England’s ODI World Cup campaign didn’t go very well. The English finished the World Cup journey from 7th place after winning only 3 matches out of 9 matches. This time they have made a major change from the World Cup squad in their next white ball cricket series squad.
England will play a 3-match ODI and 5-match T20I series against West Indies in the Caribbean tour. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has kept 6 of the cricketers who played in the World Cup in the ODI series team. Captain Jos Buttler survived as captain. The other five are Gus Atkinson, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Sam Curran, and Liam Livingstone.
England have kept three cricketers in the squad who are waiting for ODI debut. They are – Ollie Pope, John Turner, and Josh Tongue. Jack Crawley, Ben Duckett, and Ollie Pope, who have regularly batted in the top three for England in Tests, have been kept in the ODI squad. Besides, England have given chances to youngsters like Rehan Ahmed, Tom Hartley.
Moeen Ali, the oldest cricketer in the World Cup squad, has been kept in the T20 squad. Besides, Adil Rashid also did not get a place in the ODI squad but got a place in the T20 squad. Chris Woakes, Reece Topley have also been included in the T20 squad, but Dawid Malan has not been included.
After playing the ODI series in December, England will not play ODIs again before September 2024. The ECB is in a quandary over the future of several cricketers in this format.
England will play the first ODI against the West Indies on December 3. The ODI series will end on December 9. On the other hand, the T20 series will run from December 12-21.
