Bangladesh U-19 thrashed Pakistan U-19 by 7 wickets to reach to the final of ACC U-19 Asia Cup 2024. Iqbal Hossain Emon's fierce 4-fer and Maruf Mridha's two wickets helped Bangladesh restrict Pakistan for a paltry 116 runs. In reply, Azizul Hakim blasted a quick-fire 61* off 42 to help his side reach to the summit clash.

After choosing to bowl first, Maruf Mridha rattled down the Pakistan U-19 top order, removinv both the openers, Usman Khana and Shahzaib Khan for ducks. Said Baig and Mohammad Riazullah then stitched a gutsy 41-run stand together before Iqbal Hossain Emon removed skipper Said Baig.

Naveed Ahmed Khan was gone after an unlucky run-out. And then Al-Fahad knocked over Haroon Arshad. Mohammad Riazullah scored a tortoise like knock of 28 off 65 deliveries, including only two fours.

At the backend of the innings, Farhan Yousuf then scored a run a ball 32 run cameo to help his side get to a paltry 116 on the board.
Iqbal Hossain Emon was the pick of the bowlers as he had 4 wickets to his name.

In reply, Bangladesh too faced a thunderous spell from Pakistan as Ali Raza had Kalam Siddiqui Alam for a struggling 14 ball duck. Other opener Zawad Abrar scored 17 off 25 balls before departing to Abdul Subhan.

And then Bangladesh skipper Azizul Hakim came in and he started his innings with some boundaries to kick off his knock. Azizul Hakim and Shihab James stitched a superb run a ball 57-run stand together to steer Bangladesh before Naveed Ahmed had Shihab James on 26.

But skipper Azizul Hakim was there and he kept batting with positive intent. He then brought up his fifty and scored a superb 61* off only 42 deliveries to help Bangladesh chase down the total to reach to the final of ACC U-19 Asia Cup 2024
