Dwayne Bravo, the legendary West Indies all-rounder, has officially announced his retirement from the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) at the conclusion of the 2024 season.

The former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star revealed that the upcoming CPL will be his final professional competition, marking the end of a celebrated career that spanned nearly two decades. Bravo shared his decision on social media, expressing his desire to play his last games in front of his home crowd in the Caribbean.

"It’s been a great journey and I’m looking forward to playing my final professional tournament in front of my Caribbean people. TKR is the place where everything started for me and will end with my team,” Bravo wrote on Instagram, highlighting his emotional connection to the Trinbago Knight Riders, the franchise where his CPL journey began in 2013.

Bravo’s impact on the CPL has been profound. He currently holds the record for the most wickets in the league, with an impressive 128 scalps in 103 matches. His outstanding bowling average of 22.40 and a respectable economy rate of 8.69 underline his effectiveness in T20 cricket.
