Former Windies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who recently announced retirement from International cricket feels the likes of Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer can take Windies to World Cup glory despite of the disappointing performances in the recent past.

India vs Windies: Dwayne Bravo is doubtful of selection for the ODI series

Windies, who had to play the qualifiers for the first time to play the World Cup has struggled in the last few years due to lack of senior players in the team and due to dispute between the players and the board. However, Bravo still denies to rule out Windies' chances in the upcoming World Cup and feels even Afghanistan have the potential to win the tournament. "It’s a young team. It’s a very young team, and the likes of Chris Gayle, Marlon Samuels will be the senior players. Although the team hasn’t been selected yet but I think they both will be there. Jason Holder, the captain [is also there]." "With those, young talents like Shai Hope, Hetmyer … they have a lot of talent and they showed that in the short time that they have been playing. It’s just a matter of nurturing those talents. They have a chance. Everybody has a chance going into the World Cup. Even Afghanistan," he added. When asked the reason behind highlighting Afghanistan's chances, the all-rounder had some words of praise for the team that earned their Test status this year. "I think their cricket has got to a different level. It’s going to be an exciting World Cup as always and everybody has a chance to win it. But those young players will definitely set the stage afire." The 2019 World Cup will begin on the month of May in England.
