Earlier the day, Scotland won the toss and chose to bowl first against Windies. Brandon McMullen's onburst with the new ball saw Windies falling top four inside the powerplay and they were stuttering for 30-4 with McMullen struck thrice of first four. After the powerplay, Windies eventually kept losing wickets and became 81-6 after 20 overs.
Then Jason Holder and Romario Shepard stitched a partnership of 77 runs which helped Windies cross 150 mar barrier. However, Mark Watt took the wicket of Shepard and Windies again lost the plot and collapsed horribly as Jason Holder too gave his wicket away and Windies were all out for 181. Brandon McMullen was the pick of the bowlers from Scotland as he picked up 3 wicketd, while Chris Sole, Mark Watt and Chris Greaves got two apiece.
Chasing the modest total, Scotland had a worst way to start as they lost their opener
Christopher Mcbride for a duck as Jason Holder got him. But then the wk batter Matthew Cross and Brandon McMullen stitched a fine and match defining partnership of 125 runs which totally kicked away Windies from the away. The final nail was from George Munsey and Richie Berrington's finishing touch. Scotland won the match by 7 wickets and 6 overs to spare. Scotland are now at number 3 and they've enough chance to qualify for the world cup. While on the other hand, Windies chances of qualifying world cup has dried out with this lose as they lost all of the 3 matches they played in supersix.
