The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took such a great initiative in the playoffs and finals of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In that context, a total of 1 lakh 47 thousand trees will be planted across India. In these 4 important matches of IPL, there were 294 dot balls in total.

In the match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans in the first qualifier at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, there were 84 dot balls i.e. 42 thousand trees. In the eliminator match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, there were 96 dot balls, i.e. 48 thousand trees.

In the second qualifier at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium, there were 67 dot balls, i.e. 26 thousand 500 trees, in the match between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians. And for the final match of Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at the same venue, 22 thousand 500 trees will be planted, i.e. 45 dot balls.

In total, there were 294 dot balls in the playoffs and finals. BCCI will plant a total of 1 lakh 47 thousand trees for the welfare of these four dot balls.

The percentage of dot balls in these four matches is 32 percent. Among them, 35 percent of the balls in the field in the first qualifier were dot balls, 44 percent in the eliminator, 29 percent in the second qualifier, and 21 percent of the total balls in the final.

Usually there are 1000 to 2500 trees in 1 hectare area of a forest. If 2500 trees are calculated per hectare, then the trees that can be planted for the benefit of IPL dot balls will cover 59 hectares or at least 146 acres.
