The biggest T20 league in the world, the Indian Premier League is off to a flying start for this year's edition. Though there had been many obstacles around the league before the start, it has successfully kickstarted. So far three games have been completed in the schedule. In the third game of the league, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders took on each other in their season opener. Kolkata Knight Riders led by Eoin Morgan ended up as the winners by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs. Sunrisers Hyderabad were unable to chase down the target of 188 set by the opponents. The franchise came up with a shocking playing XI as Kane Williamson was not included in their starting XI for the season. There were a lot of questions on the decision as Kane Williamson will suit better in the typical Chennai conditions. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Trevor Bayliss revealed the reason behind the exclusion of Kane Williamson from the playing XI. Bayliss said that the team management wanted to give some more time for the New Zealand skipper to get the match fitness as he came out of the quarantine, just two days before the game. “We just felt that Kane needed a little bit of extra time to get match fit and a little bit more time in the nets. He would have played in place of Jonny Bairstow obviously if that had occurred. But we aren’t too perturbed about that, Jonny has been in form recently in white-ball cricket here in India. Kane will obviously come into calculations as the tournament unfolds,” claimed Bayliss.
