Bangladesh U19 thumped the Pakistan U19 by 4 wickets and 144 balls to spare in the 3rd youth ODI in Rajshahi.
After being put into bat first, Pakistan youth team had a barren start. Thanks to Iqbal Hossain Emon and his onburst spell. He took the wickets of Azan Awais and Tayyb Arif. They were stuttering 5 for 2. Skipper Sad Baig had some time in the crease as he scored a fluent 35 off 42 but a mistimed shot saw his departure. Middle order batters Arafat Minhas and Ali Ashfand came as rescue as Minhas scored 28 off 50, while the latter one scored 27 off 38 balls. But they weren’t at their best and they couldn’t long their innings to post a massive total on the board and hence they were bundled for 154.
Chasing this meagre total, Bangladesh youth team had a brisk start. Credit to Adil Bin Siddik and Majaharul Islam had a fantastic partnership of 59 runs at opening stand. Majaharul departed after scoring 21 off 25 balls while his partner Adil scored a fine 36 from 34 balls. Jishan Alam came to the crease and hit some hefty blows. He smacked 5 boundaries in his short stay of 19 balls. Jishan scored a 19 ball 24. At the end, Shihab James made 27 off 25 balls and finished the game off nicely.
With the win Bangladesh U19 team bounced back in the ODI series and trailing Pakistan by 2-1.
