Bangladesh Women's Cricket Team have been knocked out of the ongoing ICC Women's World T20 2016, as they endured their third straight defeat in the competition, this time against the West Indies, at M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday. Coming to bat first, the Caribbean Women got off to a flying start, courtesy to a couple of 40-odd innings from Hailey Mathews and Stephanie Taylor, which powered them to a big total of 148 runs. For Bangladesh, Nahida Akhter grabbed three wickets, while Rumana Ahmed got one.
Chasing a gargantuan target of 149 runs, Bangladesh eves were all-out for just 99 runs inside 18.3 overs. Apart from Nigar.Sultana's 27, no other Tigresses batswoman was able to score anything noteworthy. After shining with the bat, Stephanie Taylor took three wickets with ball in hand, and won a well deserved player of the match. Bangladesh will play their last match on March 24 against Pakistan.
