Pacer Scott Boland was included in the squad for the Test series against Pakistan at home. However, this pacer did not get a chance to play in any of the three matches.

Due to this he was released from the squad by Australia Cricket Management. But he has left for the Big Bash League (BBL). Since he did not play in the last Test, he has been allowed to play for Melbourne Stars.

This was announced by Cricket Australia (CA) at the beginning of the second day of the Australia-Pakistan third Test. However, the second day was cut short due to rain. Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood are trusted in the Test XI.

Boland had to sit on the bench in all three matches. The Melbourne Renegades coach lashed out at Cricket Australia (CA) for not getting star players for the entire tournament in the Big Bash.

“I want the best players in the whole of Australia playing in this competition. I can’t see how Scotty Boland bowling four overs is going to have a huge effect on him, and he’s been playing enough cricket. Four overs is not going to kill him,” Melbourne Renegades' coach Saker told Code Sports in early December.

“It’s so hard for Cricket Australia to get it right, but there should be more consistency with who can play and who can’t play and there’s got to be more transparency a long way out. It seems to me at times it’s done on the run instead of long-term planning," he added.

Boland took 70 wickets in 57 matches in his Big Bash career. Stars will play an important match against the Sydney Sixers in Melbourne next Saturday. Boland will play in that match.
