Spencer Johnson is having a dream week. He played in the final of the Global T20 Canada on Sunday and then received a call to Australia's T20 squad on Monday. And he bowled a record-breaking spell in his debut in The Hundred on Wednesday.

Johnson makes the record for the best bowling figure in the history of The Hundred. Only three cricketers- Akshay Karnewar, Saad bin Zafar and Mohammad Irfan have conceded fewer runs in 20 or more balls in recognized T20Is. Half of the 20 balls Johnson bowled to Jos Buttler and Phil Salt. As a result, the importance of such incredible bowling has increased a lot.

Johnson did not concede any runs in the first 5 balls. 1 run came from the next 5 balls. Again the pacer did not concede any runs in the next 10 balls and took 3 wickets.

Johnson himself was surprised after such an incredible spell. After the match, the pacer said, "It's an absolute blur at the minute. To be here in front of these awesome fans, playing at The Oval, it's awesome. I'm pinching myself, really."

Oval Invincibles took Johnson as a replacement for Pakistani pacer Ihsanullah. The 27-year-old Johnson went to England for the first time and took to the field with only one indoor practice. And showed a good performance on the field.
