Former Aussie cricketer Michael Slater faced a massive setback on Tuesday as he was denied for bail from a Queensland Court. The 54 year old, remanded in Police custody for 19 domestic violences.

Michael Slater was charged for 19 domestic charges. 
Slater has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, strangulation, unlawful stalking, entering a dwelling by break-in at night and four counts of common assault on May 31 in 2023. Reports from Australia's media outlets said that Slater collapsed in the court on the denial of bail by magistrate Raelene Ellis.

Slater is a famous Australian cricketer and was a renowned opening batter for the team. He played 74 test matches and scored 5,312 runs at a handsome average of 42.8. He also played 42 ODI matches for Australia before becoming a prominent commentator of the game. He was a regular face in Aussie summer as a commentator at 7 Cricket for both in Big Bash and Aussie international schedules. 

This isn't Slater's first incident with illegal issues. He has faced multiple domestic violence charges in recent years and struggled with mental health challenges. In 2022, he received a two-year community correction order from a Sydney court after pleading guilty to charges.
