Mohammad Ashraful couldn’t make a memorable start to this season’s Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) for Kalabagan Krira Chakra. Apart from the 47-run knock from the seasoned batsman Tushar Imran, no other batsman from the side could surpass the 40-run mark. As a result, they were dismissed for a paltry total of 184 runs, which the Prime Bank batsmen chased down quite comfortably. If the batsmaen can come back to their natural rhythm, the task won’t be that difficult for his team, believes Ashraful. “The team we have got, it will be enough for us to defend a total around 230-240. I think we can give fight to any big teams, as we have got a very good bowling unit. So winning against Mohammedan is very much possible,” said Ashraful. He further added, “All of our players are good performers. Tushar (Imran) bhai is playing well. Mehrab Jr, Masakadza, Mukhtar Ali, Abul Hasan Raju are doing fine. So I hope we will make come back to winning ways against Mohamedan.” Ashraful too proved to be a failure as an individual against Prime Bank. He could score only 6 runs. But the Kalabagan skipper believes he will do well in the next match, “I should have played better and make a bigger innings in the first match. I will try and make a good knock in the next one.
