Veteran left-arm off-spinner Abdur Razzak who has been picked up by Rangpur Risers for the next edition of the
Premier League (BPL), has claimed that he was completely unaware of it. While talking to popular daily Bangla newspaper Kaler Kantho, Abdur Razzak himself revealed this.
The 35-year-old cricketer was playing in the ongoing National Cricket League (NCL) for Khulna Division during the player draft and he was literally unaware of it.
However, during the lunch break of the day, his teammates informed him about his new BPL team. “Frankly speaking, I didn’t know about the player draft. NCL is not a small event and I was busy with it. I got to know about my new team during the lunch break,” he said.
The experienced campaigner also said that he would try his best to something special for his new team. “Cricket is always challenging and in T-20 the situation is same to me. I will try hard to do something special for Rangpur Riders,” he added.
To be noted, the experienced spinner played for Chittagong Vikings in the previous season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
